Jim graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia. Jim then went on to earn a law degree from the University of Victoria in 1978.
Upon completion of his law degree, Jim worked at Boughton Peterson Yang Anderson (now Boughton Law Corporation) in Vancouver. During this time he became the partner in charge of a large real estate practice. He acted for clients acquiring commercial and residential properties and assisted clients in developing commercial properties, including stratification of mixed-use developments comprised of residential and commercial strata lots. He also assisted clients with the preparation of both residential and commercial mortgages.
Following his time at Boughton, Jim became a staff lawyer in the Professional Conduct Department of the Law Society. He then joined Davidson Lawyers LLP in November 2006.
Jim primarily practices law in the areas of real estate developments, conveyancing, mortgage financing and wills and estates.
Jim enjoys being involved in the community. He has done volunteer work for the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce and Paddle Against Cancer.
