Ian was born in Vancouver and grew up in Kamloops and Barriere. He received his Bachelor of Commerce from UBC in 1990, majoring in Finance. He received his Law Degree from the University of Victoria in 1994.
Ian articled in Kamloops with Morelli Chertkow, and was called to the Bar in May of 1995. For four years he practiced with Morelli Chertkow at their Merritt office. In September 1999, Ian joined Davidson Lawyers LLP in Vernon.
Ian is a solicitor and practices primarily in the areas of Business law, Estates and Estate Planning.
Ian is currently the president of Vernon Regional Airport Corporation and a member of the UBC-Okanagan President’s Community Advisory Council.
Ian married Synneva Taylor in 1998 and together they have two beautiful daughters. Bryn was born in 2001 and Rhys in 2004.
Ian completed the Vancouver International Marathon in 2004 in a time of 3:08:37. His 10km PR is 37:49 this year in Kamloops.
