steve-branderSteve was born and raised on Vancouver Island and attended the University of Victoria, obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2000. He moved to Kamloops and joined CIBC as a commercial lender for two years, after which he obtained his law degree from the University of British Columbia in 2005. Steve was called to the bar in 2006 and practiced at Boughton Law Corporation in Vancouver until joining Davidson Lawyers LLP in 2008.

Steve has developed a general solicitor's practice, advising clients on Commercial and Corporate matters, Estate Planning & Administration, and a broad range of Real Estate issues including the acquisition, financing (acting for both borrowers and lenders) and development of projects, the purchase and sale of residential properties, and all aspects of Leasing. Steve maintains a particular focus on Commercial Leasing, including the pre-leasing of new retail projects and lease enforcement. Steve has advised developers with respect to mixed-use developments, including the preparation and filing of Disclosure Statements for residential developments. Further, Steve regularly advises clients with respect to the preparation of Wills and has structured many Testamentary Trusts on behalf of his clients.

Steve is thrilled to be in Vernon with his family, and enjoys being involved in his new community. To this end, Steve has been involved in the United Way as a member of the fund distribution committee, is a board member of the Okanagan Science Centre, and a member of the Rotary Club of Kalamalka (Vernon).
