Robert was born and raised in Vernon. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Simon Fraser University and his Bachelor of Law at the University of British Columbia. Robert was called to the Bar in 1988 and began his practice in the lower mainland, gaining extensive trial experience in Vancouver and throughout British Columbia. He became a Partner at Davidson Lawyers LLP in 1996.

Robert is primarily involved in the area of Personal Injury & ICBC Claims, Estate Litigation and Litigation & Dispute Resolution. He has also been involved in complex medical malpractice, product liability and professional negligence proceedings. These have included plaintiffs with severe injuries such as paraplegia and quadriplegia, as well as brain injury.

Robert is a member of the Law Society of BC and the American Trial Lawyers Association. Robert is an active participant in the community and has been been involved with the North Okanagan Youth Soccer Association since 1993. He has coached, refereed and played soccer at various levels.
